People don't work with me just because I am a good with words. They work with me because I can get their customers and potential customers to take action. They know that revenue does not occur until someone is convinced that the value of theirr product or service exceeds the value of the money they are going to have to exchange for it. I build that value with words. I make it possible for them to touch, feel, small, and believe. I make them want to own what you have. I make them anxious to exchange their money for what you possess.
Then Reality Strikes
If you deliver on the promises that I make on your behalf -- If your product or service fulfills the hopes, dreams, and utility they are led to expect -- Even better if we sell a lot and deliver more! we can sell to those clients again and again and again and again ... And each time that we sell to them we can increase the value, the price, and your bottom line. You will have a customer base who you have come to know and they will have someone they can trust to deliver. Lots of money will be made!
However, there can be a dark side to this story. If you do not deliver on the promises that I make on your behalf your returns will skyrocket, your reputation will suck,and I will get splashed with the muck of peddling trash. That is not going to happen to my reputation and I will not be part of it happening to yours. I work with those who give people what they want and need and aren't afraid to charge premium price for it.
But ... I am not interested in working with those who make their money with smoke, mirrors, a crap product, and a hit and run mentality. If that is what you are looking for there a ton of writers and marketers who would be willing to work with you, but I am not.
Let's Talk Relationship
In the end life is all about relationships. When you take a look at the "Who I Am" section of the site you will see that my best work is done not just as a writer or consulant. The real value I bring to the relationship with my best clients is that of a trusted advisor. I help them look at the big picture, address tough issues, think two projects ahead, and recommend projects I think could be successful, or relationships that I think would be beneficial.
It is not a relationship that all my clients want, but for those who do it has proven profitable. You will not see a Trusted Advisor Role on the fee schedule. It doesn't work that way. It comes over time, with success, and with getting to know each other very well. When I die -- I want my core clients to fly in from all over the world to speak at my funeral. Your speeches will be pre-written and waiting at the church for you (with an invoice attached).
